Every story is a gift, and every moment is a glimpse of God’s grace. I'm so glad you're here.

I was born and raised in a small town in Kansas, where my roots run deep and my love for people, stories, and faith first took shape. I graduated from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, and today, I have the joy of serving as the Communications Coordinator for the Catholic Diocese of Salina.

In this role, I manage our website and social platforms, while also serving as the diocese's videographer and photographer — a job that lets me combine my love for creativity with my passion for evangelization. Whether I’m behind the camera at a parish celebration or capturing the quiet beauty of everyday life, I see it all as part of the greater mission: sharing the goodness and truth of our faith through visual storytelling.

My photography style is rooted in my Catholic faith and dedicated to capturing authentic, grace-filled moments — the kind that speak to the heart and reflect the beauty of God's creation. Whether I’m photographing families, seniors, weddings, or new life, I strive to highlight the dignity, emotion, and connection present in every person and every scene.

I believe deeply that God gives us gifts for a reason. He’s placed in my heart a passion for creativity, connection, and storytelling — and I do this work with the desire to use those gifts for His greater glory. Every image I create is a small reflection of His love, His joy, and His presence in our lives. So whether you're celebrating a big milestone or simply want to freeze a fleeting moment, I’d be honored to help tell your story — through a lens of faith, beauty, and truth.

Photography has been one of the greatest joys of my life — not just as a creative outlet, but as a way to truly see the beauty of Christ reflected in others. Each time I pick up my camera, I’m reminded that we are all made in the image of God. My lens becomes a tool to reveal the dignity, light, and grace placed within every soul. It’s such a gift to be able to freeze moments that speak of love, faith, and the sacredness of everyday life.

As St. John Paul II wrote in his Letter to Artists, “The artist is not necessarily a believer, but every artist is somehow touched by the hidden mystery of things, and by the mystery of man in particular.” I feel incredibly blessed to enter into that mystery with every session — to document God’s fingerprints in the stories, smiles, and sacred moments I get to witness. He also reminds us that, “To communicate the deepest truths of life is the artist's task.” That’s what I aim for: to create images that don’t just capture a moment, but communicate truth, beauty, and the presence of God in it all.

"All the photos were very natural and spontaneous looking. Matea was a fun person to have at the sessions. She was great at interacting with us, but still made us the center of attention."

"Matea you are so good at what you do, literally INSANE."
